We could see the drop off and the pool it created. The water goes from about a foot deep down to six feet in about two steps. It was with great excitement and anticipation that he threw his tail dancer into the pool. It looked perfect, the water was calm, swirling slightly and with minimal current. It looked too good for there not to be a fish in there. The first couple of casts produced nothing. Then, a fish jumped under an over hanging limb, and the minnows scattered. Jeff quickly made a perfect cast with his tail dancer, the rod doubled over, the drag squawked and after a few short runs this Northern was brought to the net. After a couple of quick pictures, he was released to fight another day.
