He really wanted to catch a northern. That was his primary goal for the day. We did some trolling for walleyes, and tried some casting for smalles. Then we anchored in front of a brush pile. He got his Northern, a 28 incher. This was the first Northern he ever caught, and he caught the smallie while trolling.
