Question, Do I really need a guide? Answer - This is a good question, and it depends on what your looking for. For the person or family that has never been to the area before and really wants to catch some fish, getting a guide would be a good idea, as a guide will have the equipment you need and knowledge of the area. A guide will know the regulations, such as size and possession limits, what you can or can’t use for bait, etc. He will also have the ability to move around to different places if the fish aren’t biting. On the other hand, if your a person or family who likes to fish and really don’t care if you catch fish and just want to have a good time, then a guide probably isn’t needed. Answer - Your fishing license and if trout fishing, your trout stamp, cloths for the weather, camera, cooler, ice for your catch, lunch, drinks as desired, and a positive attitude. Question, Do you guide for ice fishing? Answer - No. Weather permitting, I take the boat out in the winter time, if the river isn’t froze over and the boat landing is open. Answer - I would love to say yes, but unfortunately the only guarantee I can give you is, I will put you on fish.
