Ah, what a peacful sight. This mama doe getting a drink and going for a short swim. We actually saw her and her fawn crossing the river ahead of us, where she ended up on this island. We loved watching her. You can not see the fawn in the picure, it is hidden by the tall grass. We hoped it would come out, but ma doe, being the wise one kept her baby out of sight, and after a few minutes she disappeared out of sight also. Just one of the many forms of wildlife along the river.
