This pretty bird was strolling in the water and mud. He came up close to us and decided we were not a threat. Then he decided he was in the mood for a shore lunch. We watched him squat down as flat and as low as he could and watched him wait. It didn't take long, he had his lunch. We heard a slight splash and he had two minnows in his beak. He took them up on the sandbar and enjoyed them, then went back for more. A very pretty bird and a pleasure to watch while relaxing.
