Growing up Captain Mike had a passion for fishing. That passion is still strong today. Mike loves fishing the beautiful valleys of Vernon County and the Kickapoo Valley Reserve where growing up he spent a part of each summer at his grandparents place between Westby and Viroqua. Mike has many fond memories of his grandma taking him to Vernon Countys Timber Coulee after supper for an evening of trout fishing, along with his grandpa taking him to several small lakes in the area fishing for whatever. This Brown Trout is a personal best for Mike measuring just over 22 inches. The average size for most streams are 9-12 inches, which are perfect for eating, but bigger fish are definitely common. The streams of Vernon County are full of Brown Trout and Brook Trout, with Rainbow Trout present in some streams. Give Mike a call today to go to beautiful Vernon County and the Kickapoo Valley reserve to enjoy the great scenery the and awesome trout fishing the area has to offer!
